BABYMOON!

Image
Babymoon (n.) A period of time a couple takes to be alone before their baby is born And what better place to go than the beautiful islands of Hawai'i? We left for the islands the day after my birthday which was a friday. We stopped down in Oahu for 3 days to celebrate our one year anniversary! ( Don't miss this! ) It was absolutely amazing and unforgettable. I will forever be amazed at the time and effort my husband puts into things when he acts so nonchalant about upcoming events and what he's planning. It is the best thing ever and keeps me so surprised!  We got to spend so much quality time with family in Maui. My cousin Aubrey just had a baby in April and we got to hang out with her a bunch! Nu'u is the active type. He always wants to be a part of and participate in the activities that everyone is doing. On this trip, being pregnant, I wasn't up for doing much more than relaxing, plus the activities I've never not gone to do in Hawai'

28 Weeks! 7 MONTHS!!

How far along?  28 weeks! An entire 7 months! Baby is the size: Eggplant! Maternity clothes? Can't live without em. I bought a couple maternity swimsuits for our baby moon in hawaii and actually didn't end up wearing them. I have never been a bikini person so one pieces and long tankinis have always been my friend. They actually fit really well for pregnancy and since they were thicker than the maternity ones I bought they gave my belly some support! Sleep: I slept AWESOME in Hawaii. Maybe I just didn't mind getting up when I was hearing waves crashing outside and watching pretty sunrises but I was pleasantly surprised with how well I slept overall. Of course I had to bring my belly pillow along to make that possible but it worked out great! Best moment this week: OUR BABYMOON! Of course! Don't worry. That post is coming next! Missing Anything? Flying peacefully and rarely getting up. I have been a travel bug since very early in my life. My family has gone to

One Year Down, FOREVER to go..

Have I ever told you how obsessed I am with my husband? Well if you haven't heard it once or twice, I'm obsessed with my Tongan husband! He surprises me every single day with how much he loves me regardless of how hard I am to love. It is not traditional in his culture to be any kind of affectionate to your significant other no matter what your status may be. Holding hands and kissing in public is like stripping naked in the states. It is disrespectful for a sister to see her brother kiss his girlfriend or wife. It's kind of crazy. But of course the amount of affection us Americans show on a daily basis is crazy to them...It just depends on how you look at it. Anyway. I'm a surprise person. I love surprising and I love being surprised. Nu'u knew this in the first couple months that we were writing/dating. He knew that it was really important to me to have someone who would be willing to and be good at surprises and love them back just the same. Let me tell yo
