It's finally here!

Hello heaven!  Fall clothes, winter approaching, football season, volleyball season and of course family! It's my absolute favorite time of the year and we have had a really good weekend kicking it off! We watched Sione Lasike's season opener at Gorman when they beat Servite.  My sister Cristina had a tournament this weekend to kick off her volleyball season and of course my husband and I will have Sunday night football at our house tomorrow! You do not understand the love I have for EVERYTHING that happens between now and March. College basketball will be here in no time and we will be off to the Rebel games! I am hoping this year my dreams come true and I get to spend the opening of ONE game this season on the floor singing the national anthem! What a dream. Kona is almost 2 and I don't know where time had gone. My husband and I just celebrated 2 months of marriage and at the end of September he will officially start Chef school at Le Cordon Bleu. What a blessing it is to

I love to see the Temple <3

In the last week I have gotten the chance to attend the temple 3 times! What a blessing! I have had ingrained in me since about 12 that the temple is a HUGE blessing because every year my family travels to Maui, HI for vacation and they do not have a temple on the island. They have to work up the money and sacrifice the time to fly to another island just to visit the temple! Needless to say I don't take it for granted. I LOVE visiting the temple and being able to attend as often as I want! So anyway I'll go from today to Tuesday to last Friday. So today my hubby and I got to go do some sealings and attend a session. We witnessed a man go through for the first time in a wheelchair and on oxygen! How cool that he got to experience that so late in his life! It is such an honor to be in sessions with people who clearly did not have a simple time getting there and getting through it! Tuesday night I got to go with some of my new ward sisters to the 6:30 session. It was so awesome! I

Education Week

We had a blast traveling back up to Provo for a week with my mom! We drove up Monday as classes were to start on Tuesday! We slept in every day and went to most afternoon classes. We ate at the Skyroom restaurant every day before attending John Bytheways class on "Helping your husbands preside in love and righteousness". We then attended brother Brad Wilcox class on "Understand the Atonement" which was an amazing class! Then of course Hank Smiths class on "Trust". I always learn so much from him! We got a chance to buy our temple clothes together for both our first times and attend the Provo temple on Friday before we packed up the house and headed home! My husband loaded an entire sectional into the truck by himself! We got 15 minutes out of Provo before one of the pieces fell off into the highway. We had to call the cops to stop traffic, move it to the shoulder, find out it was broken and end up leaving it there! Devastating! But no one got hurt and we m

The Pome'e Palace!  Welcome :)  We love it here! We got so many PERFECT wedding gifts and have had so much fun putting things to use and hanging them on the walls! Our kitchen is loaded and perfect and our walls will soon be perfectly decorated! Haha soon! We moved the the Summerlin area which surprisingly I LOVE! I am loving our new ward and my new sisters! Our house is in a cute little gated community and Kona just loves it! We have settled in nicely so far but still have a little ways to go. Guests will be welcome soon ;)

We got to go back to Utah!  August 9 and 10 were fabulous days! We got to drive up to northern Utah and attend a beautiful sealing, luncheon and reception! When I lived in Provo going through esthetics school I met a beautiful girl named Salem Deloach! She and I had started school the same day but since I had already done half of my program we never really were in class together! But that didn't really matter! We became really good friends anyway! Haha so anyway we drove up Thursday night to be at the sealing Friday morning at 11 at the Salt Lake Temple. That was the first trip back to the temple with my husband and my first time witnessing a sealing other than my own! It was beautiful! And an absolutely gorgeous day to go with the beautiful bride and couple! We then say down and shared a luncheon with them and their families. Since we were already up in Salt Lake we decided to go back to the temple and go to the visitors center since Nu'u had never been. We went through the pl

So we stayed the night we got married and 1 more at the Bellagio on the strip in Las Vegas and we absolutely loved it! We got tickets to Celine Dion the next night as a gift from a very close family friend. The show was absolutely amazing! We left Monday morning for our cabin in Duck Creek where we basically went four wheeling the whole time. We stayed up there until Thursday which was Independence Day. We all know you cannot miss the Wheeler family parties and the 4th is a big one! We had friends come up and stay with us the night before which was a blast! So that Thursday we drove down for the party! Megafuse got lit up at about 9 and it was awesome! We then stayed at my parents house until leaving on the 11 for the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Neither of hs had ever been there. We stayed at Ko'olina while we were there and we visited the Polynesian Culture Center and Pearl Harbor. We stopped my Waikiki of course and did a little shopping. We got to see our friend Tuvili Tuisuvura p

Our Story!

I've been thinking up this blog ever since the first time I #hashtagged polywife on twitter so here it is! The life of being married to a polynesian man. Tongan to be specific. What a blessing. We have been married for almost 2 months now.  Here's our story: Taniela 'Ainu'u 'Aho Pome'e served an LDS mission in the Las Vegas, Nevada West mission from 2009-2011. I graduated high school the summer of 2010 and January of 2011 started attending esthetics school in St. George, Utah at a place called The Skin Institute. I graduated from the first half of that program in May of 2011. Before I had officially moved home from Utah for the summer my brother had his farewell to report to the MTC so I traveled home for the weekend to attend and sing for my brothers mission farewell. That was the first time I ever met, at the time, Elder Pome'e. I moved home from Utah shortly after and Elder Pome'e served in my ward for about the next 5 months. (A funny question to ask
