It's been 3 months...

Since I chose my word of the year! Remember? ( Embrace ) I never could have picked a better word if someone paid me. This year already has been full of embracing and building extreme faith. I have loved EVERY second of it! From every up and down that comes along with the first year of marriage and learning every new thing about each other, learning to cope with someone else's living space being directly apart of yours, learning to work things out because that's the only option there is, learning to communicate and LEARN something from every argument makes it less likely to turn into a fight or bigger argument. Then finding out that we are pregnant and embracing every emotion that comes along with that, because no, finding out you're pregnant is not all just fun and dandy. Its stressful, a bit scary, nerve racking, and just all together emotional, period. And now of course having to (wanting to) move closer to my parents, everything about moving is fun except MOVING! WE ARE MOVING :D

Already? I know. We have only been renting this house since August, 2013. BUT, the owner of this home would like to move back in to it. Don't worry! She didn't just kick us out...she contacted us about a week or two before we found out we were pregnant. At which time, we were discussing moving out of town, to Hawaii or Utah to go to school. So when she contacted me to basically say, we would LIKE to move in maybe as early as June but if that doesn't work for you than we can work something else out. Of course she also told me that I would not be penalized for breaking the lease. So I informed her then that we actually were talking about moving out but I would speak to my dad, who is helping us rent, and see what he has to say about it. So she said okay talk about it, think about it, and let me know.  When I discussed it with my dad we both agreed that if we wanted to be moving, out of state, and for school, that it would be good to get out of this house now and figure o...

Catching up on poly baby...

Well. To my dear friends who get on often to check my blog I am TRULY sorry. This is the longest I have gone without updating since I've been married but I promise I have good reasoning. I did also try to get on once and give you some kind of update and ended up falling asleep at my computer. Pathetic I know. So here it is! I am pregnant! If any of you missed the announcement go look! And if you didn't go look again! haha I loved how everything turned out on Valentine's Day for announcing our new arrival! And the excitement for the most part has still not left me. I am now officially 11 (almost 12) weeks along and coming down from the morning sickness weeks. Whoever started calling it morning sickness is a liar. It's all day, nothing tastes good, sleep all day, sickness. Something interesting about me being adopted, (have you read that story?  Adoption ) is that I know almost nothing about my medical history and since the reason I was adopted was my parents not bein...

TONGA!

I can't even begin to explain to you how excited I am to go back to Tonga. I miss my family over there of course but even more so because I know how much my husband misses HIS family! I know how homesick he was when he first got here and when we were first married. It doesn't weigh so heavy on him now on a daily basis but I know that doesn't mean he stopped missing them! My sister-in-law, their oldest, is getting married in the Nuku'Alofa, Tonga temple in May and we get to go! We weren't sure if everything with Nu'us visa was gonna be ready in time for him to go but once again it all worked out perfectly! Thank goodness! We get to be there for about 2 weeks and help Nia with all of her wedding stuff! I have already sent a bunch of stuff off for her wedding like balloons, a dress and shoes. She is SO excited for her big day and I will probably be doing her hair! Which I'm so excited for! She has been waiting a long time for this day to come and it is finall...

I didn't forget about Valentine's Day!

Image
With all the craziness of announcing our news Valentines Day lost a LITTLE bit of importance to me this year. It was more important than any other day in my life but not necessarily because of the holiday... I honestly would not have been too upset if Nu'u did nothing BUT, I cannot believe how much effort my husband put in to LITERALLY his first Valentines day ever. Member he's from Tonga? Yeah they don't celebrate most of "American" holidays. He heard about Valentines for the first time on his mission! So even then he didn't really know how it works cause obviously on his mission he wasn't catering to a girl! Haha so anyway, he says to me the night before "I hope you're not expecting anything bit tomorrow, you do remember it's my first Valentines?" And of course I tried to comfort him by saying I know, I'm not expecting much. What do you even do for boys? I bought him tickets to Boys2Men in Vegas this Friday but other than that I did...

Is this REAL LIFE?!

Image
February 5, 2014 I knew 3 things for sure. I was 2 days late on my period. I had been cramping for 4 (which usually only happens for 2 before I start). And we tried ONCE! (once meaning one cycle) My husband left for the gym at about 9:30-45 and I was leaving the house at 11 ish to go to the temple with Karyssa Lytle. When I got out of the shower I planned on taking the test but due to emptying my bladder before taking a shower I couldn't pee! HA! Just my luck. I didn't want my husband to know I was gonna take the test so I put everything away and headed off to the temple! Of course I couldn't keep my mouth shut and told Karyssa what I was thinking about and that there was a chance! So leaving the temple she reminded me again to go right home, take the test, and let her know! haha When I got home from the temple I had about a half an hour to get ready for the UNLV game against Boise State. So I ran in to the bathroom, took the test out of the box and went to take it in ...

Lash Extensions!

Image
Soooooo check me out! Haha When I was going to school in Utah for esthetics I got the opportunity to get certified in lash extensions. When I first learned I didn't practice much because it wasn't a personal interest of mine so it was hard for me to sell. When I moved up to Provo to finish school and was exposed to it more I started to love it. Realizing how well it does for other people and how much money you can make doing it was awesome. So at school I got the opportunity to practice some more. When I got out of school I had lost my glue and not done any extensions in a long time. I had someone contact me to ask me about a recommendation for the best price to go get lash extensions and of course I said my house! Kind of out of sarcasm but realizing that this may be a good idea I decided to order some new glue! Then of course when the glue came in I posted it on instagram and told people to come make an app with me. That didn't take very long to happen! Since then I hav...
