Shania!

When I was in 6th grade I went to my first concert. I have always listened to country music because my dad got me into it when I was really young. I loved Shania Twain back then and I still do. For Christmas last year I didn't know what to get my mom. I wanted to get her tickets to a show. Then I remember that Shania just started her new show in town! 
So I bought tickets. Two of them. She asked me to go and of course I said yes! I wanted to get the show for the night of moms birthday but the show didn't start back up until January 22 because she was home for her Christmas break! 
So Thursday, January 23, I took my mom to see Shania! She texted me a week or two before to inform me she had made dinner reservations at her favorite restaurant! Joe's! I was super excited for that. We went shopping the week before and I bought a super cute flowy shirt that I love! 
So that night we went to Joe's for dinner and ate some delicious food! Then it was time for the show! I was SOOO excited! And my mom was too! During the show she comes down the isles to see people and it is awesome! 
She sang all our favorite songs and we had a blast! When it was over my mom said she liked it more than Celine which was a shock but amazing! 
We had a great time!

On Friday: October 10, 2014, I became a mom to the most handsome little brown boy I had ever seen. Since I was adopted, my mom was one of my biggest supporters to the idea of breastfeeding. She never got to experience that and she wanted to make sure I did! It was VERY important to me that I breastfed as it was something I always dreamed of doing. On October 13 (day 4) we visited our pediatrician for the first time. She was my pediatrician as a child and I absolutely love her and recommend her to EVERYONE! The baby boy's GRAND entrance!

WARNING: There is absolutely NOTHING glamorous about birthing a baby, no matter what the story. So if you are not okay with somewhat graphic terms/explanations I suggest you not read! Nonetheless, this story, like many more, is miraculous and beautiful and something I will treasure forever and ever.  40 weeks came and went faster than I could have imagined. Looking back it was the longest day of my life. But now it seems like forever ago. Yes I spent 26 hours laboring on my DUE DATE! At least most of it. I did not for a minute, of my entire pregnancy, expect this boy to come a minute early or even on time...and I guess after all he was still technically late! Farewell LuLaRoe!

For those of you who don't know, I recently ended my journey as a Retailer for LuLaRoe. I've been thinking up this post for a long time, even before deciding to start my new space for mommas on Instagram! But I'm glad I did, to have an avenue for this entry to be shared!:] I had taken a VERY long break from this blog in light of the time, effort and work I was putting into my LLR business for nearly 2.5 years and I wanted to share with you what I learned during my journey, and also get this blog up and running again! I spent all weekend before "launching" my new Instagram, making over this blog and transitioning it to this new chapter!
