Dreams are coming true!

So anyone who knows me at all knows I'm a huge rebel fan! UNLV Men's basketball has been my life for as long as I can remember! I have been singing since I could talk. My second mom has been my voice teacher since I was old enough to have one (like 2 yrs old)!
When I was 10 years old I sang the National Anthem all by myself for the first time in front of about 500 people. My dad has held that same meeting every year since at the Bellagio and I've had the opportunity to sing almost every year.
One year that meant bigger things for me. If there's one thing I've learned about singing whenever I get the chance it's that people have hook ups everywhere all the time! Gary Sepede, a guy who has attended these annual meetings forever, one year decided to hook me up. He asked me what I thought about singing the National Anthem at a Las Vegas 51's game! Of course I said I would love to! For the next 3 years I got the opportunity to sing there. Another year, at the same meetings, a guy name Larry Long referred me to his sister who was looking for someone to sing for the Harlem Globetrotters for the 100 anniversary of Boy Scouts of America! So in February of 2010 I got to do that and had a blast!

This last year has been by far my favorite. About mid way through basketball season last year a guy named Chris Bonnell emailed my dad informing him that he "heard" his daughter was wanting to sing at the Men's Basketball games. He then let my dad know that last season was already scheduled. So my dad responded by offering to do anthems for other sports seasons like baseball soccer things like that, so then I get the email for baseball! My first UNLV sporting event and all I can focus on is this is my road to sing in the Thomas and Mack Center! That's what I really wanted. So 3 baseball, 2 soccer, and 1 volleyball game later basketball season is back! Dannette is the one who has set me up with most of the anthems since my first baseball game. I attended the scarlet and grey social event to kick off basketball season. We were there relatively early so the first person I see is Chet. Yes Chet Buchanan and I are friends. That another long story in itself. Anyway. I'm on my way down and around the court and I see Dannette. She has heard me say at the end of every email or text every time we've talked really a reminder to "talk to Chris about basketball". She kept telling me she would but also informed me that Chris isn't really even in charge of it anymore. So when I got to her this night I asked again, who do I gotta talk to in order to sing the national anthem in the place? She said you know what? Honestly? Chet! Then she said "don't tell him I told you but just walk over there and bring it up" I said okay! So I walked over and repeated myself....what do I have to do? He said "talk to me next week, I'm waiting to hear back from one but I MAY have a spot, other than that everything is already filled, but talk to me next week" I said "what's next week?" He said "when you're gonna talk to me!" I said oh right okay. So I didn't waste any time in waiting. Monday afternoon I sent him that message you see above and that was his response! So I sent off to him 3 videos that I have recorded of me singing! He emailed me back and said.....

And he sent me a text that said "check your email (evil laugh)" hahahaha so Tuesday, November 5, 2013 I get to sing the national anthem for my first time ever in the Thomas and Mack Center! It is truly a dream come true! <3

So of course I had to get my nails done for the big event! Porsha at Bond, a nail lounge is my life line recently!

Yes that's a mustache!
